Did you know, Maine is home to 7 species of freshwater turtles? Learn about these species with a virtual program by MDIFW wildlife biologist, Derek Yorks. This program will take place this Thursday, February 13th at 6:00 pm. Registration is required.

This week for Project FeederWatch, we had a good variety of birds. The beautiful red color of the cardinal really sticks out in fresh snowfall.

Introducing the GLLT T-Shirt Design Contest! Open to all ages and abilities! There are two categories that you can enter: Salamanders and Nature of Western Maine. The salamander t-shirt will be used for our Salamander Sashay 5K in May.
